Thomas G. Gruenert
Mr. Gruenert’s practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate and commercial transactions, healthcare law, contract law, real estate, construction law and commercial litigation. He obtained his B.A. degree from the University of Montana in 1977, majoring in Political Science and History, and graduated with Honors. He received his law degree from the Washington and Lee School of Law in 1983. In law school he served as a Note and Comment Editor on the Washington and Lee Law Review.
Mr. Gruenert has been active in bar association educational and government relations programs, and is the former chair of the Wetlands and Endangered Species Committee of the ABA Real Property Section, and the former chair of the Endangered Species Committee of the ABA Section on Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law.
Mr. Gruenert was one of the founding partners of Gibson Gruenert, PLLC in 1995, and prior to that time was associated with a number of the leading corporate law firms in Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Gruenert formed the Gruenert Law Group in 2015, with the intention of providing his business clients with sophisticated, detail-oriented legal services while maintaining the flexibility and affordability of a small firm.
In January, 2016, Mr. Gruenert became the General Counsel of Neighbors Health, LLC. An emergency medicine provider group and medical facility developer. Mr. Gruenert served in that capacity for almost two years, until a restructuring and change of ownership ended the position.
Mr. Gruenert is an avid amateur musician, a supporter of the arts, and enjoys tennis, biking and birding. He is active in the Redeemer Church in Manvel, Texas, and active in his community as a member of the Manvel Texas Code Enforcement Commission. He has been married to the former Nancy Hill for 40 years, has three grown children and two grandchildren.
